Going into the 2022 NFL draft without a first round pick wasn’t the ideal scenario for general manager Ryan Poles. However, that wouldn’t stop him from addressing some of the teams most pressing needs. On day one, he turned his attention to the defensive secondary and wide receiving core. On the last day, we got a glimpse of the savvy side of the first year GM, watching him maneuver his way into more draft picks by trading down twice. After the dust cleared, fans surely had their opinions on if Pole’s had his priorities aligned with theirs…but with a closer look, Poles and the Bears may have planted the first seeds that may help change the culture for the better at Halas Hall.
