"Im just very relaxed in my set up mechanics wise. I'm an athletic guy so I have to let that work for me," says Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward. He struggled last year at the plate (.230 7 HR 41 RBI) but was the driving force behind the Cubs game 7 World Series victory in Cleveland with his historic speech during the rain delay. He also picked up his 4th Gold Glove as the best right fielder in the National League.
This season he's off to a blazing start batting .300 with 2 HR and 10 RBI in 16 games. I caught up with him and we talked about ring night, possibly doing it again and his approach at the plate coming back this season. "Winning that ring was like being a kid getting a new toy....the best Christmas ever. But even more so you know you earned it with a group of guys and the ring will always tell that story." AND PLEASE....STOP HATING!
